my story
I am curious about (and consumed with) design at many different levels, from the products we use everday to
the spaces around us, and the communities we live in. I am interested in the social and environmental fabrics
of a place.
My work in small communities (through design charrettes, planning efforts, and simply observing and recording)
has had a profound impact on my understanding of design, the importance of local materials and local histories,
and how people interact with space and place. I believe that everyone deserves good design, not just those that
can afford it.
I am interested in building technologies, energy conservation, and simply living within the means.
I think there needs to be a social change in our country, the way we use energy, materials, and resources.
